The Global HR Business Partner (HRBP) functions as an HR generalist to provide consultative advice and strategic thought partnership to leadership, support and champion issues for staff, and facilitates organizational effectiveness initiatives in line with the overall purpose and mission of ICANN.
The HRBP, in partnership with the global HR team, provides solutions in areas including, but not limited to talent and performance management, career planning, development & coaching, workforce planning, employee relations, policy interpretation, process improvement, and communication and change management.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
Act as the key HR point of contact for assigned functional groups by building and sustaining strong relationships with them to develop first-hand knowledge of their organization as well as their short and long-term business goals and objectives.
Responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated functional groups.
Serve as an employee champion and culture agent.
Assist with the analysis, development, and implementation of integrated HR solutions that support assigned functional groups strategic objectives and operating plan.
Lead the day to day performance management guidance to staff and line management (coaching, counseling and career development) and lead the performance management process within client groups.
Ensure legal compliance in line with federal, state or local country legal requirements.
Act as a generalist on all areas of Human Resources support and act as a liaison between assigned functional groups and the HR team.
Ensure all aspects of people management for assigned client groups are aligned with ICANN’s organizational objectives and mission.
Diagnose organizational health challenges, provide coaching and design as well as facilitate organization interventions that enhance leadership/team/staff and organizational effectiveness.
Exhibit strong team leadership and project management skills to enable agreed upon solutions to be successfully designed and implemented in collaboration with cross-functional resources e.g. Finance, Legal to drive solution-based responses to client needs.
Manage relationships with vendors who may provide support for initiatives within assigned client groups including interfacing with executive coaches, external facilitators or assessment vendors to ensure that clients are receiving the effective and competitively priced services.
