Primary Job Duty
This role will be responsible for providing operational service delivery for ongoing programs and assist in the implementation of one or more projects as assigned. This role will have a heavy focus on the development of written communications (e.g., email, correspondence, memos, briefings, reports) as part of the service delivery.
Position Summary:
The Sr. Implementation Research Analyst will support the implementation of various special projects for ICANN's Global Domains Division (GDD) programs. The individual will be responsible for conducting research on various issues related to these projects. They will be required to produce written materials for various projects and audiences (internally and externally), such as research findings, briefings, formal correspondence, memos, email and status reports. This position also requires an understanding of project lifecycles and on-going development of subject matter expertise within the assigned area. The role will have the opportunity to work cross-functionally to execute various activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Participate in implementation projects of diverse scope for ICANN's Global Domains Division. For their respective projects, the Implementation Research Analyst will:
•Draft various written communications with direction from supervisor, including but not limited to: formal correspondence to external stakeholders on behalf of organization members; memos, briefings, and talking points for senior management, executives and Board members; research papers and reviews of various topics related to ongoing projects in the Global Domains Division; announcements and blogs to be shared both internally and externally.
•Correspond (both formally and informally) with internal and external stakeholders to address questions and issues.
•Coordinate major project elements including but not limited to: issue identification and resolution; feasibility and advisability analysis; implementation activities; gathering status and adjusting project schedules as necessary; preparing reports and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs).
•Complete project deliverables on time in adherence project schedule and management direction.
•Prioritize and escalate issues to the project manager or supervisor in a timely manner.
•Coordinate activities of a cross-functional implementation team comprised of subject matter experts and, with guidance from supervisor, identify, research, and resolve or recommend solutions for project or service delivery issues.
•Identify metrics and aid in data collection with direction from supervisor.
•Work with supervisor to identify appropriate indicators of progress; design reports to inform senior management of status and assume responsibility for quality and timing of delivery of all reports.
•Work with vendors to ensure that project deliverables meet quality and timeliness expectations •Develop process documentation and coordinate process improvement initiatives.
•Prepare, maintain and update website materials.
•Exercise good business judgment in service delivery and project execution.
•Develop subject matter expertise in areas of assigned responsibility.
•Develop subject matter familiarity in areas of department’s responsibility.
