Position Summary

To support and effectively execute communications projects for ICANN’s Global Domains Division. This role will be responsible for managing and developing written and visual content for assigned communications programs. This includes material for web, print, and social media. In addition, this role will provide support and be responsible for the greater team’s administrative activities.

This individual will also work closely with regional Global Communications Coordinators on a variety of projects ranging from assisting in the development and publication of regional newsletters, writing blogs, managing social media campaigns and more.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Execute tactical integrated campaigns to effectively communicate programs/key initiatives to global stakeholders and other target audiences.
  • Writes material encompassing announcements, blogs, stakeholder emails, presentation slides/talking points, etc.
  • Produces graphics for flyers/brochures, social media and the Web.
  • Assists with the development and execution of social media campaigns.
  • Routes communications through the approval process, follows up as needed, and provides status updates in a timely manner.
  • Reviews materials. Proofreads to ensure language aligns with ICANN and AP styles and that branding guidelines have been followed.
  • Coordinates translations of content so all languages can be released simultaneously.
  • Liaises with web team to publish content online, and with vendors to print materials, under strict deadlines.
  • Coordinates the production of webinars.
  • Manage publication of weekly statistics to website.

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Communications, English or a related field with 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Suite tools.
  • Strong organizational & interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience with social media and related platforms.
