Position Summary:

The Airport Operations Manager is responsible for the efficient and compliant operation of Fort Worth Alliance Airport and Alliance Aviation Services. A hybrid position, this individual will work with the Vice President of Aviation Operations to plan and coordinate the service, maintenance and operation of the Airport and Fixed Base Operator (FBO). This position will oversee, manage and perform when applicable, functions related to the operation of an FAA Part 139 certificated airport, maintenance of hangars and office areas, vehicle and equipment maintenance, and safety.


  • Lead Facility Maintenance Team/Contractors
  • Safety and Training Coordinator
  • Manage Vehicle and Daily Equipment Maintenance, various contractors
  • Coordinate Airport Operations Activities                               
  • Issuance of Airport NOTAMs      
  • Respond to Aircraft Accidents/Incidents               
  • Assist with Contract Vendors and Contractors    
  • Provide Escorts Within the AOA                
  • Manage Airfield Self-Inspection Program (conduct and maintain records)              
  • Oversee Airport Training Program Records          
  • Maintenance of Airport Certification Manual                                                  
  • Coordination of Airfield Maintenance                                                                                                 
  • Assist in Performing Airfield Maintenance Tasks
  • Primary Airfield Escort for Vendors and Contractors        
  • Maintenance of Airport Foul Weather Plan                                                     
  • Maintenance of Airport Emergency Plan                                                                        
  • Maintenance of SMGCS Plan                                                                                             
  • Management of Airport Construction Projects   
  • Execute Wildlife Hazard Assessment/Management Plan                                                                    
  • Assist in Developing Airport Capital Improvement Plan (ACIP)     
  • Code and Process Invoices          
  • Leader of Foul Weather Response Team
  • Oversee Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance   
  • Oversee Safety Program              
  • Assist in planning of Annual Air Show     
  • Any Other Duties as Assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Internet, Fax Machine, Copy Machine,
  • Ability to operate small hand tools and testing equipment (as needed)
  • Ability to operate Two Way Radios, Passenger vehicles/pick-up trucks, Snow-Plows

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field
  • 3-5 years’ experience in Part 139 Airport Operations
  • Industry accreditation preferred

Working Hours:

The primary work hours will be 1000-1830, Monday thru Friday; however, customer and operational needs will require periodic flexibility in schedule and to be available for emergencies 24 hours a day.  The Airport Operations Manager will have an office area, company provided laptop and cellphone.
