Job Description:

  • Process day to day activities to successfully accomplish the full scope of weekly US and Canada payroll
  • Process all imports from Kronos and SAP to assure proper employee payments
  • Process SAP IDOC interface from HR to ProBusiness Payroll for all employee changes and validate the changes
  • Prepares account reconciliations, analyzes and audits monthly transactional data to ensure accuracy
  • Prepares and posts payroll journal entries
  • Perform year-end activities and benefit rollout for the new year
  • Follows up with managers regarding employee timecards
  • Works with HR Benefits Manager on all leave of absences
  • Act as administrator for the Payroll Workcenter
  • Process court orders for child support, tax levies and wage garnishments
  • Calculate and issue manual checks as needed
  • Positive communications with employees and other internal groups to resolve questions related to paychecks, W4, direct deposit and other payroll questions
  • Partner with HR and IS&T on Payroll related matters and applications
  • Provide various reports in correct format to various internal groups

Other Responsibilities:

  • Assist Payroll Manager with any special projects as needed
  • Back up to other Payroll team members

Job Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Kronos and ProBusiness would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of basic accounting practices and procedures
  • Self motivated and detailed oriented with mindset for accuracy
  • Knowledge of payroll principles, practices, regulations and procedures on federal, state and local levels
  • Knowledge of SOX controls within Payroll process are required
  • Must have demonstrated experience and ability to work independently and able to resolve issues timely
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task on competing and deadline sensitive priorities
  • Must be a team player with a high level of accountability
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 5+ years of Payroll experience required
  • Experience in payroll with multiple States
