Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the preparation and compilation of various presentations to equity investors, fixed income investors, sell-side analysts and other stakeholders.
Provide valuable competitor and industry information (including financial statement analysis, key financial metrics and valuation models) to the organization’s senior management.
Develop, manage and maintain an active dialogue with key finance and business leads within the company to support the department’s analytical effort.
Track sell-side financial models and consensus estimates.
Contribute content to quarterly regulatory filings and Board presentations.
Remain current on economic, accounting, political, regulatory, and industry outlook and disseminate the information to senior management.
Develop best practices and strategies in investor presentations and other communications, including organization of material, deliverables, quarterly and annual investor distributions.
Research, initiate, and develop innovative and creative deliverables, presenting complex messages in a concise, visually pleasing, and quality manner.
Review peer earnings call transcripts, publications, press releases, supplemental packages, and other investor presentations as well as sell-side analyst research for common themes, opportunities to highlight the strength of our business, and general application to our Company, and disseminate the information to senior management.
Coordinate and review financial information necessary to prepare investor presentations, including managing the calendar for investor meetings and interacting with various functional groups including executive management, corporate finance, financial reporting, marketing, science and technology research, and the Company’s third party PR firm.
Help manage internal production needs and ensure that deadlines are satisfied, according to individual project schedules.
Maintain, organize, and provide edits, including, but not limited to writing, proofing, spelling, grammar, layout and formatting of investor packages, presentations, disclosures, and additional materials.
May include occasional attendance at investor meetings.
Collaborate with creative resources on marketing projects in developing a clear and concise message to investors and analysts.
Note: Direct communication with investors and analysts will continue to be managed by the Executive Chairman, Co-CEO’s and CFO.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, English, and/or Communications required.
Minimum of 7 years of working experience, at least 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, SEC financial reporting, investor relations, or corporate communications preferred.
Communication experience preferred, but not required.
Experience working within the Real Estate or Financial Services industry is highly desirable.
Strong communication skills (strategic communication), writing, presentation, and editorial skills, required.
Excellent financial and analytical skills.
Professional experience with Microsoft Office products.
Proficient in PowerPoint, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat, Macromedia Fireworks/Dreamweaver, etc., a plus.
Extremely organized (resources and prioritization), project oriented, and high attention to detail.
Ability to efficiently and effectively change focus in a dynamic, flexible environment.
Ability to work independently, self-directed, with initiative and follow through is critical.
Ability to work against and meet deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to interact with Executive Management.
