Now Boarding is looking for individuals who share our commitment to animals to join our team as a part-time Boarding Specialist. Now Boarding staff are passionate about providing caring, safe, and fun experiences for pets while their owners are away. Pay-rate: $13/hr

Schedule:  This position is part-time and expected to average 20-28 hours a week. Friday and Saturday availability and some holidays are expected. Please note: We do not offer seasonal work.

There are two schedule expectations:

  • Initial training 7:30am-4pm or 9am-5:30pm  (1-3 weeks)
  • Additional training and on-going shift requirements: 5:45am-2:15pm, 7:30am-4pm, 9am-5:30pm, or 10:15am-6:45pm

Qualifications Required:

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to learn and retain names and information about a large number of dogs (45-60) on a daily basis
  • Exhibit excellent attention to details
  • Ability to stand and/or walk for most of their shift (excluding breaks)
  • Ability to show compassion, patience, and enthusiasm while interacting with the animals in our care
  • Available to work a flexible schedule
  • Prior experience with responsible animal care preferred
