B&A is currently seeking a PeopleSoft Tester Consultant to join our team on a Federal project in Washington, DC!

B&A is seeking a sharp and motivated PeopleSoft Tester for a long-term project at the US Courts in Washington, DC. This position is for an exciting project that offers implementing newer technologies and industry standard processes. You will be supporting a highly customized PeopleSoft HCM, North American Payroll, Benefits, Time and Labor and internal/external interfaces for the Administrative Office of US Courts.

The prosperous candidate must be able to perform the design test cases and testing of information systems, including the design and test of application architecture, database and interfaces. Must possess a thorough knowledge of the Oracle/PeopleSoft architecture and elements unique to the federal personnel and payroll processing, demonstrated experience with software development lifecycle, and a project management methodology to manage it. Must have knowledge of programming language to support regression and performance testing for the application. Writing SQL queries, testing interfaces using PeopleSoft integration Broker, prefer experience in PeopleSoft Test Framework.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering and analyzing user requirements and translating them into system test case scenarios.
  • Creating functional test scripts, test cases, test plans, for PeopleSoft (PS) modules: HR Processing, Time & Labor, Payroll, Benefits, ePerformance, PeopleTools, and Security.
  • Support testing PeopleSoft upgrade process, patching and tax updates.
  • Support testing regression, system, black box, performance testing.
  • Developing corrective actions to help resolve bugs.

Requirements:

  • 5 years’ experience supporting IT System development life cycle.
  • 5 years’ experience writing and executing test scripts.
  • 5 years’ experience in requirements gathering and quality testing of internal/external interfaces involving complex rules and calculations, various types of file manipulations
  • 3 years’ experience performing system, integration, regression, and functional (positive and negative) testing.
  • 3 years’ experience writing and executing SQL Queries to retrieve data for validation and verification.
  • 2 years’ experience in PeopleSoft HCM (HR, Base Benefits, Time and Labor, Payroll)
  • 2 years’ experience with People Tools 8.55+; PeopleSoft Integration Broker.
  • Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Math, Business or other related scientific or technical discipline.
  • Candidates must be eligible for a Public Trust to be considered.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience with JIRA and Adaptivist for test management
  • Experience with development languages: SQL and PL/SQL
  • Experience with databases: Oracle 12c
  • Experience with Web technologies: HTML, XML
  • Experience creating and analyzing business requirements/requests, level of effort derivation, analyzing information, problem solving, application development process, production support, change management, software development life cycle methodology, application testing and supervisory/team lead.
