Bart & Associates (B&A) is currently seeking a SAP Solution Manager Basis Architect to join our team on a Federal project in Fall Church, VA!

The SAP Solution Manager Basis Architect role requires in-depth knowledge of distributed computing technologies to configure and integrate SAP Solution Manager 7.2 with ECC 6.0, BI, Enterprise Portal, PI, SRM, Solution Manager and GRC. In order to meet expanding business requirements, this resource will provide hands on configuration and administration for the technical infrastructure landscape architecture managed in Solution Manager. This resource needs to plan out the Solution Manager roadmap, provide guidance on the pros and cons of various solution options, and needs to act in an advisory role guiding a team on the steps that need to be completed.  He/she must have experience implementing or upgrading to Solution Manager 7.2 ChaRM, implementing landscape management, and monitoring. Within monitoring, this resource needs to have experience in monitoring and alerting inclusive of system monitoring, user experience monitoring, integration monitoring, job monitoring, and BI monitoring

 

This position requires the ability to operate efficiently in an established or ‘built’ environment while continuing to optimize and evolve ‘run’ Solution Manager functionality. A bachelor’s degree is required and candidates with the following qualifications and experience preferred:

 

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to provide expertise across functional support areas to tune SAP Applications for optimal performance

  • Proficiency in SAP single sign-on (SSO) for Enterprise Portal and ECC backend

  • Strong written communication skills to document implemented solutions or workarounds as a result of SAP problem analysis and resolution

  • Experience customizing, configuring, administering and supporting SAP systems

  • SAP NetWeaver experience for integrating business processes across various systems

  • Demonstrate ability to meet established levels of SAP system service and support to ensure minimal system downtime

  • Capable of working in a team environment and collaborating with other platform (e.g. UNIX, Linux), DBA and security team members to troubleshoot and optimize performance

  • Experience utilizing performance monitoring tools to work with application developers to identify and correct inefficient database operations
