B&A is currently seeking a .NET Developer to join our team in Suitland, MD!


B&A is seeking an .NET Developer with 11+ years of experience that designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software as well as troubleshoots production problems related to software applications. The candidate will lead and coordinate other Developers.


  • Designs, develops, enhances, debugs, and implements software.  Troubleshoots production problems related to software applications.
  • Researches, tests, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of new products based on client requirements. Designs and develops new software products or major enhancements to existing software.
  • Addresses problems of systems integration, compatibility, and multiple platforms.
  • Consults with project teams and end users to identify application requirements.
  • Performs feasibility analysis on potential future projects to management.
  • Assists in the evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration and testing tools.
  • Resolves problems with software and responds to suggestions for improvements and enhancements.
  • Acts as team leader on projects.
  • Instructs, assigns, directs, and checks the work of other software developers on development team.
  • Participates in development of software user manuals.

Position Requirements:

  • 11+ years troubleshooting production problems related to software applications
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or related field or equivalent experience
  • 11+ years of experience with .NET Framework and ASP.NET development, Session, Request life cycles, Garbage Collection and caching
  • 11+ years of experience with Remote Event Receivers, Timer Jobs, Event Handlers, Receivers, custom forms and workflows
  • 11+ years of experience with Web Services using SOAP, REST, XLM and/or JSON developing custom components
  • 3+ years of experience in developing database queries through code – CAML, Linq
  • 5+ years of experience in SQL Server 2008/2012 and SQL Reporting services (SSRS) with the ability to create Business Intelligence reports and analytics tools
  • 11+ years of experience with PowerShell scripting, Managed Metadata and User Profile Services
  • Excellent knowledge of * IIS and the architecture of it * Windows Server Manager * DNS and SMPT * Networking Load Balancing
  • 11+ years of experience in managing and testing backup recovery plans
  • 11+ years of experience troubleshooting networking, authentication and application performance issues
  • Demonstrated experience leading and coordinating other Developers

Desired Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in exploring and learning new Office 365 services such as Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, Office 365 Groups, etc.
