Zimmerman Associates, Inc. is currently seeking to hire a Consult Medical Appointment Agent for an opportunity located in San Antonio, Texas

 

Job Responsibilities:

  •  Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments based on patient's and staff's availability.
  •  Establish and increase long term client relationships through warm customer service to callers via: a telephone headset, provided scripts and conversational guidelines.
  • Perform within one or more of the following business lanes: Appointing Management or Consult Management with regard to primary and specialty care appointing and specialty care consults.
  • Validate beneficiary eligibility for appropriate booking and may be required to register patients not already in computer system, such as newborns and updates to existing patient demographics.
  • Validates basic patient demographic information prior to booking appointment for patients and makes required updates.
  • Call patients, send mailers (appointments by mail) or responds to secure messaging requests as needed to schedule, reschedule, and/or cancel appointments. Provides patient with specific visit instruction.
  • Route initial specialty referral consults for clinical review to specialty care clinics in accordance to the specialty clinic capability report and clinic Standard Operating Procedure.

 

Position requirements:

  •  A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Six months - 1 year of experience in a medical office and a fast-paced call center.
  • Mandatory knowledge of medical terminology
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, a professional demeanor and a sound understanding of general medical ethics and etiquette.
