WSP is currently seeking an Compliance Coordinator, Financial Reporting to join our head office team. Reporting to the Director, Financial Reporting, you will be responsible to assist in the coordination and performance of internal control testing (52-109), as well as to provide analytical support for the quarterly and annual financial statements of WSP and its subsidiaries. In a decentralized global structure, the incumbent must demonstrate agility by adapting to different regional realities and the organizational rapid growth. This is a highly visible and critical role that provides excellent career advancement opportunities.


  • Assist with the coordination of the process of testing internal controls (52-109) across regions around the world. Support the collection of testing results and communications to the audit committee. Perform certain testing of internal controls;
  • Support documentation and alignment of internal controls across regions and newly acquired businesses. Drive continuous improvement in processes. Advise and follow-up on control deficiency remediation plans;
  • Prepare quarterly and annual analytics to support the information presented in the consolidated financial statements and MD&A. Collaborate and actively participate in the quarterly review processes and ensure diligent response to requests from external auditors;
  • Assist in the review of press releases, investor presentations, communications from the President and Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Financial Officer to shareholders, analysts and the Board of Directors, the Annual Information Form, the Annual Report and other financial documents intended to the public;
  • Collaborate with members of finance teams around the world;
  • Assist in purchase price allocation processes in collaboration with external analysts and evaluators. Assist in the production of ad hoc reports in response to requests from senior management.


  • University Education in Accounting (CPA designation or in process to obtain)
  • 4-6 years of experience, including 2-3 years of experience in internal or external audit
  • Strong understanding of internal control framework. Knowledge of IFRS.
  • Excellent oral and written communication in English and French, business acumen and ability to interact at all levels
  • Results-oriented, teamwork, analytical and problem-solving skills, and timeliness
  • Ability to work in an environment with multiple priorities and tight deadlines
  • Excellent ability to work in a team, strong sense of organization
  • Sense of initiative and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work outside normal business hours to collaborate with professional teams in different time zones periodically
