Due to continued growth and success, we are in a position to hire for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join us. We are continuing to grow our geotechnical practice in Atlantic Canada with operations in Dartmouth and Moncton. A day in the life:

  • You'll be responsible for maintaining a strong technical involvement in projects and proposals as a senior engineer, while also helping to grow the business and mentor others in the team, contributing to knowledge transfer and workload management;
  • You will coordinate staff on a project level, and participate in staff coordination across the region and support the manager in oversight and guidance of local staff;
  • You'll prepare and/or review reports, proposals and technical specifications, as well as complete analysis of information and report preparation;
  • As a leader in the group, you'll be looked to in establishing standard methodologies within the discipline and improving our methods;
  • As part of our growth strategy, you'll maintain excellent client relationships, maintain regular communication with clients and work towards increasing business in the region;
  • Collaborating with the national WSP geotechnical community with over 375 staff across Canada, you'll position WSP as a key advisor and consultant for our clients, and a true business partner;
  • You will always ensure health and safety policies are followed at all sites and take WSP's Life Saving rules to heart and ensure that Safety is our number one priority at all times.

We'd love to hear from you if you have...

  • A bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline as well as several years of experience as a registered Professional Engineer with (APEGNB);
  • Experience working in the industry in geotechnical engineering and field investigations and an interest in advancing your career through leadership, and discipline growth in Atlantic Canada;
  • Willingness to be mobile in New Brunswick and flexible to take on field or office work as needed;
  • You'll have great communication skills, ideally in both official languages of New Brunswick;
  • You are a true professional, and believe in the power of engaged and high-performing teams and know what works well to get the most out of your peers;
  • You can juggle priorities and are driven by a desire to succeed and produce high quality, renowned work product.
