WSP is currently seeking a Revit Technician  - Autodesk AutoCAD / Autodesk Revit – BIM for our Water & Wastewater, Infrastructure Business line, to work under the general direction of the Technical Design Supervisor.  The Infrastructure business line provides a full range of services required for water and wastewater treatment plants; pumping stations, reservoirs and elevated tanks.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Other duties as assigned/
  • Provide production CAD / Revit support; Develop, implement and enforce CAD / Revit Standards, Organize the CAD / Revit environment and libraries;
  • Provide technical support for all CAD / Revit software; provide support for plotting and electronic file submissions.
  • Interact on project standards coordination with clients; Provide budgets for all CAD / Revit technology items;
  • Provide training and supervision of in-house CAD / Revit users; provide leadership and vision to the firm in the area of CAD / Revit;
  • Preparing detailed engineering drawings for water and wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations, reservoirs, and elevated tanks;
  • Performs complex drafting assignments utilizing computer aided design and drafting software, plan, sections, elevations, details in both 2-D and 3-D, construction documents for review and approval;
  • Co-ordination of drafting with the drafting of other disciplines;
  • Assisting the engineers for sizing, piping and equipment;
  • Preparing various engineering drawings for linear infrastructure projects;
  • Preparing general plans, grading plans, plan/profiles, detail drawings and composite utility plans; and
  • Preparing presentation graphics and proposals.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5 years of experience delivering 3-D AutoCAD & Revit – BIM Drawings on schedule and on budget;
  • Thorough knowledge of the latest version of AutoDesk Autocad / Autodesk Revit – Building Information Modeling (BIM)
  • Ability to work well with others and lead less experienced CAD staff;
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure;
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills;
  • The successful candidate will possess a certificate/degree from an accredited technical training school or community college of design and drafting and have experience in multi-disciplinary projects as related to water and wastewater market segments;
  • Collaborative approach and work well within a team environment;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Highly motivated and hard working
