WSP is currently seeking technicians to perform design and layout in the fields of electricity and instrumentation and control, using CAD / DAO tools, for various construction, expansion, modification and optimization projects in the industrial sector.


  • Assist engineers for the development of plans and quotes;
  • Perform on-site supervision;
  • Validate plans and quotes compliance with guidelines, code requirements and other regulations;
  • Estimate and calculate the material quantities required for the projects;
  • Visit various sites to collect data required for the development of plans and quotes;
  • Assist, as required, team technicians, supervise the work of other technicians / drafters assigned to the project;
  • Learn and apply WSP work procedures;
  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the Team Lead.


  • College diploma in electrical engineering and / or instrumentation and control, or any other training deemed equivalent;
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in design or construction supervision;
  • Mastery of AutoCAD software;
  • Knowledge of P&ID;
  • Sense of initiative, attention to detail;
  • Ability to work in a team setting;
  • Excellent communication both orally and in writing;
  • Hold a valid driver's licence;
  • Ability to work at heights for surveys;
  • Bilingualism is considered an asset.
