BECANCOUR

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support project managers in controlling contracts and budget approval;
  • Participate in distributing project documents, namely related to work methodology for tasks that fall under his/her specialty (project forms and standards for planning, cost control);
  • Track and control the project schedule to ensure objectives are met;
  • Prepare periodic cost reports;
  • Prepare progress reports for all project activities in accordance with the original content and presentation criteria (manpower plots, performance progress) in collaboration with the project team;
  • Prepare the project cost coding structure in collaboration with the project team;
  • Control and monitor project costs for each business line;
  • Prepare for all major changes that affect engineering and project costs.
  • Extract relevant data from accounting systems to track costs;
  • Participate in project progress management and revenue recognition calculations;
  • Evaluate the cost impacts of each contract change or development during its implementation;
  • Work together with accounting staff to reconcile and verify purchase orders and invoices associated with different projects;
  • All other related tasks associated with the cost controller position.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or any other training or experience deemed equivalent;
  • Master’s degree in project management (a plus)
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in cost control or project management;
  • Skilled in the use of major office software (MS Project and Primavera are considered a plus);
  • Able to adapt to change, exhibits flexibility and sound judgement;
  • In-depth analytical skills;
  • Dynamic, self-sufficient, takes initiative, detail-oriented;
  • Excellent spoken and written communication skills
  • Must be bilingual.
