Meruelo Media, located in Burbank, CA, is currently seeking an energetic, resourceful, creative, highly confident, hardworking and self-starter individual to join the Meruelo Media executive team as the leader of all revenue related functions.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Oversee all market sales activities
Establish goals and executes initiatives that align strategic plans across business units to build unique revenue opportunities that leverage all aspects of company’s product offerings.
Implements the operational strategic plan and direction
Understands all elements on Non-Traditional Revenue Streams
Complete understanding of Digital opportunities – to include resource requirements.
Deploys existing marketing resources, products and marketing strategy by defining and developing new marketing objectives that accelerate brand development and recognition.
Implement Social Media marketing strategy with a focus towards growth of social audiences for the company.
Exercise in-depth monitoring and awareness of the competitive landscapes.
Works with product development teams to create new revenue opportunities across all product and programing offerings.
Support transactional teams on day-to-day business operations
Builds and nurtures relationships at all levels to fully understand customer’s business and marketing objectives.
Establishes and maintains a high profile in the Social Media markets and community.
Takes initiative to bring ideas to the Meruelo Media leadership team that solve problems, add value, and support hitting goals for Sales revenue.
Strong project management, organization and prioritization skills to execute for the sales team.
Communicates needs to all levels as is appropriate and is able to reprioritize in a dynamic environment.
Candidates must possess the following skills/qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree, MBA is preferred.
Minimum ten years hands-on sales management experience within the Media/Broadcasting industry; sales strategy planning and execution, sales operations, business planning, and sales support management.
Experience building and leading a high performance sales team
Experience with Radio, Television, Digital and Onsite Activation.
Previous experience dealing with Local and Agency sales
Prior experience working closely with, or leading media content production.
Experience in hiring, mentoring, training and managing high-performance sales organizations.
Must have strong verbal, writing, mathematical and analytical skills.
Knowledge of Excel, Windows, PowerPoint
Skilled with Wide Orbit, Marketron and Nielsen software.
Understanding of popular social channels and how to best engage with their users.
Maintain edit bays for optimal editing workflow.
Ability to work as a part of a high-functioning team in a fast-paced, creative environment Ability to multitask with effective resolution management in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Resilient ability to adjust to the personalities of various partners
