Power 106 (Meruelo Media) located in Burbank, CA is looking for a unique Part-Time On-Air Mixer responsible for mixing music sets live on air, in club settings and on-site at various appearances and community events, adhering to FCC rules and regulations.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for live music play at station events, promotions live broadcast and on-air radio shows.
Serve as an Ambassador of the Power 106 Brand at Night Clubs, and the local music scene.
Assist the Mix Show Coordinator and Program Director with music input.
Attend scheduled Mixer Meetings.
Serves a DJ/mixer on a radio show on Power 106.
Candidates must possess the following qualifications and skills:
Should have at least 3 years of DJ or radio experience.
Open availability and schedule flexibility is mandatory.
Must be a DJ who has the skills to MIX in a Mix Show and Radio Show setting.
Candidate should have an extensive knowledge of Hip Hop and R&B music.
Must know how to mix, transition, and blend music for seamless on-air execution.
Must be client friendly, and understand the listening patterns, music demands, and lifestyle of adults in the 25-54 demo.
Must have excellence listening/communication skills and the ability to generate excitement when promoting station events, playing music at a night-club, or on-air radio show.
Candidate should have knowledge of the club scene, and music industry.
Must have an excellent understanding of digital media components such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram, and a substantial following on all platforms.
Must have the ability to interact with listeners, and speak/entertain large audiences.
General knowledge of DJ Equipment set up and break-down.
