Power 106, Nick Cannon Morning Show (Meruelo Media) located in Burbank, CA, is currently seeking a fully dedicated, enthusiastic, and fast-working, Producer & Editor “Preditor” to shoot & edit in-studio interviews, concerts, red carpets, sales productions and promotional events with efficiency, urgency and effectiveness. The Producer & Editor will specialize in creating video content that will be pushed on social and digital platforms with immediacy. We are looking for someone with extensive videographer/editor experience, which is adept in portraying visual narratives, moods and intentions through captured & flip edited content fully dedicated to Nick Cannon and his show.

A flexible schedule is a must, including late nights for event coverage & possible (though infrequent) overnight shifts for time sensitive edit deliverables. This is a dynamic position that requires the Preditor to have reasonable knowledge of lighting and audio as well.

The Preditor will be required to attend multiple events per month on weekends and/or evenings to cover station related and/or relevant events.

What you will do:

  • Produce, shoot and edit video features, highlights, interviews and other on-demand content optimized for the Nick Cannon Morning Show to be immediately pushed out to social platforms, websites, blogs and press partners.
  • Able to shoot, capture, log and organize professional-quality footage with Editorial storytelling and prep for social media outlets and execution
  • Fundamental understanding of green screen keying and compositing
  • High competency in videography and a basic understanding of "on location" lighting and sound
  • Capable of editing content with urgency for multiple platforms. Ability to provide final compression video files for both broadcast-quality and non-broadcast videos
  • Still photography and graphic design for video format for all content of the Nick Cannon show

What your bring to Nick Cannon Mornings:

  • At least 4 years of meaningful production experience in high-paced environment that targeted a Gen Z or Millennial consumer, with a passion for digital media.
  • Overall working knowledge of Adobe After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, Final Cut Studio, Avid and general production equipment.
  • Candidate must exhibit a passion for music and entertainment, especially Hip Hop.
  • Understanding of video flow, color and workspace. Be able to manage the web/design team & process.
  • Extremely resourceful, detailed oriented and has a great eye for dynamic and/or ambient content per Nick Cannon and team’s directive. Accustomed to meeting strict project deadlines and has a high sense of urgency to provide content to the social media team and preparation to appropriate outlets
  • Excellent communicator, team player and must excel under pressure and demands of the morning show team.   Willingness to offer creative ideas and direction.
  • Proficient with industry level video lighting equipment and audio equipment
  • Proficient in motion design (preferred but not required)


  • BA or MFA Digital Media, Interaction Design, or related degree.
  • 4 to 7 years of experience in creative and relevant industry audio/visual production or editing
  • High level of creativity, a passion for visual storytelling, and the demonstrated ability to create edgy, out-of-the-box concepts as well as more traditional corporate videos
  • Social media experience essential
  • Knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Various video compression software types
  • High-level knowledge of various video cameras and video equipment
  • Proven experience in pre-production, production and post-production processes
  • Knowledge of Final Cut Pro X
  • Able to carry a video from rough-cut to finish, including broadcast legal video and audio standards. Ability to color correct & create a balanced, finished audio mix
  • Fluency in Adobe After Effects- primarily in the area of motion graphics and, to a lesser extent, VFX and compositing
  • Adobe Photoshop: Basic, fundamental understanding of Photoshop, layers, and using PSD files inside of After Effects

  • Has good pulse on our stations culture, resources and well established in the music/radio/media industry

  • Ability to work early mornings, evenings, overnight and weekends.
