Position Summary:

The Fiscal Support Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of fiscal related fiscal tasks that are standard or regular support duties within an assigned department or program

This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, state and federal laws and agency/institution policy

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Procure goods and services for the Facilities Management Warehouse
  • Serve as back up to procure goods and services for all other departments within Facilities Management
  • Ensure payment for WEX credit cards, and reconcile the statement each month
  • Enter monthly Fuel Master charges in FAMIS
  • Purchase materials using a p-card, maintain monthly p-card statement, and enter costs into FAMIS
  • Close work orders, verify the FOAP on each work order to ensure correct department is billed
  • Process invoices and send to Accounts Payable for work done by Facilities Management
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of database accounting and management principles, applicable laws and regulations of assigned section, computers and software application programs, and customer service techniques

Ability to record fiscal data and manipulate data to generate complex reports and documents and conduct research and perform basic quantitative quality assurance reviews

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Other:

Serve as back up to the Work Order Center, when needed

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a High School Diploma

Two (2) years of bookkeeping, basic accounting, billing, or related experience

Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
