The Teacher Assistant reports directly to the Center Manager.
The Assistant Teacher is responsible for working cooperatively with the Head Start Teacher in planning and conducting learning experiences and activities and assists in the day to day management of an assigned classroom.
The Assistant Teacher organizes classroom space, maintains a clean and healthy environment, provides constant supervision of children, makes observations; assists with preparing lesson plans, materials, and assessments.
3 - 5 years of working experience in the area of Childhood Development
Must have an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Experience working with children ages 0-5 helpful.
Must be able to work cooperatively with other team members.
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
