SUMMARY OF PROGRAM/PROJECT

 

Technatomy Corporation is preparing to support the operational capability and efficiency of Project Manager Soldier Sensors and Lasers (PM SSL) by providing personnel with the necessary skill levels and expertise to support the Government in conducting Programmatic Oversight, Materiel Fielding and New Equipment Training, New Equipment Fielding (NET/NEF), and Field Service Representative (FSR) support for the PM SSL Portfolio. The services and support described herein are not limited to the longer term requirements with regard to test and evaluation support, but also include quick reaction support services and material directly related to PM SSL efforts to provide rapid technology solutions to the Warfighters to address urgent current/future mission needs related to conflicts and Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO).

 

POSITION DESCRIPTION (Duties and Responsibilities):

 

The Logistics Specialist-Fielding and Equipment Training (Special Forces) – Level III will be responsible for providing logistics expertise for execution of fielding operations and development and conduct of training.  This individual will demonstrate competency in all aspects of property related to Materiel Fielding.  PM specific duties may include establishment, vetting, and training of Fielding Teams to conduct on site activities associated with fielding equipment.  Performs set up of fielding site and execution of fielding event, packing of equipment for shipment upon completion of fielding events, New Materiel In Briefs (NMIB) and conduct of New Equipment Training (NET) on assigned products as required, in addition to:  Participates in display for VIPs; Coordinate firing ranges with associated ammunition to support NET; Instructor Key Personnel Training (IKPT) interface with suppliers for NET Program of Instruction (POI); Provides oversight of execution of recurring training for fielded product training.     Participates in Soldier Touch Point (STP) events in support of Product Offices.

 

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

 

  • Provides logistics expertise for execution of fielding operations and development and conduct of training.
  • Provides capability type new equipment training involving equipment not organic to the PM.
  • Able to easily adapt and interpret interface training for equipment not part of the PM portfolio
  • Conducts NET interface during range firing events conducted by gaining command PM
  • Evaluates portfolio enablers to determine types of weapons systems for range events
  • Narrates/briefs during VIP demonstrations.
  • Narrates during training videos
  • Establishes and organizes and directs work and coordinates efforts related to the planning, programming and execution of the fielding operations, including:
  • Responsible for accurate input of all aspects of property accountability related to Materiel Fielding.
  • Participates in fielding and/or issuing equipment in accordance with approved Basis of Issue (BOI).
  • Identifies discrepancies or defects in products, manages fielding stations stock of product, and assists in resolving any issues or problems Soldiers have with equipment.
  • Travel up to 50% (CONUS and OCONUS)

 

 

 

Security Clearance Requirement: 

 

  • Must be a US Citizen
  • DoD Active Secret

 

Education Requirements:

 

  • Associate’s degree (AA/AS) or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of related work experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Firearms, Night Vision and Thermal equipment typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience
  • Active duty Special Operations Qualification Course/Ranger Qualified or equivalent
  • Must have served in Army MOS 11 (Ranger Qualified) or 18 Series
  • Must have experience in a special operations type environment
