SUMMARY OF PROGRAM/PROJECT
Technatomy Corporation is preparing to support an Army Research Laboratory at Adelphi Laboratory Center, Maryland. We will be providing basic research, applied research, and analyses as related to sensors and electron devices. Additionally, ARL's Sensors and Electron Devices Directorate (SEDD) has a mission of advancing the state of the art in electro-optic smart sensors, multifunction radio frequency, autonomous sensing, power and energy, and signature management. The support will include radical strategic planning and forecasting, analyzing technical data, experimental test planning, analytical and numerical problem-solving approach determinations, organization, presenting innovative efforts, and supporting events leading to groundbreaking technical and pragmatic forums.
POSITION DESCRIPTION (Duties and Responsibilities):
We are looking for a junior, mid, and senior level. The Laboratory Operations Manager will support the daily operations and long-term business planning efforts for Business Laboratory Scientific Technical (BLAST) support Services at the Army Research Laboratory, Adelphi Laboratory Center, Maryland. The ideal candidate has an understanding and working knowledge of the regulatory requirements specific to the lab and ensures all users are in compliance with those standards. Review research protocols of internal and external research groups in an effort to stay abreast as to what research projects are occurring in the lab at any given time. Update and maintain the Lab Safety Plan/Manual and the Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Manual. Oversees laboratory safety and security to ensure that the laboratory remains in compliance with all local, state and federal regulations. In case where non-compliance is found, documents the instances as well as how they were abated. Manages and updates Chemical inventories and/or Risk Group Agent inventories. Communicates and enforces laboratory safety rules to internal and external researchers working in the lab. Ensures all users of the lab are wearing the appropriate Personnel Protection Equipment (PPE).
