We are seeking an experienced, results-driven IT Business Analyst with an understanding of data center operations. This role is client-focused with major interaction with customer project and application teams, including some interface with senior managers. The role requires an in depth knowledge of project management concepts and tools, including technical requirements analysis, SharePoint, MS Project, Excel, Visio, Access, and Word.


  • Must have excellent customer service skills while interfacing with government customers
  • Identify, mitigate, and prioritize, manage and resolve project issues, constraints, dependencies and risks
  • Capable of interpreting technical information and present/speak the information to different audiences (business owner, etc.), conveying the message in a way the audience can understand
  • Understanding of process, potential issues, consequences of changes and their cost impacts during the Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Coordinating and communicating with Division and other IT Directorate customers and support teams as appropriate
  • Edit materials for a variety of reports, manuals, briefs, proposals, instruction books, catalogs, and related technical and administrative publications
  • Help facilitate horizontal integration of IT Portfolio projects across IT Directorate Divisions and customer business areas
  • Provide support for drafting Division roadmaps, whitepapers, flowcharts, and division statuses
  • Provide support for drafting and monthly progress report for Division project activities
  • Provide support for drafting a Cost Benefit Analysis Report for projects included in the Division Project Portfolio


Candidate must have the following knowledge, experience, and abilities:

  • 3+ years of technical writing experience for software and engineering work with a good understanding of Federal government processes
  • 5+ years of exceptional proficiency in writing and editing skills
  • Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and SharePoint
  • Exposer to Service Delivery including Enterprise Data Center Operations and Architecture
  • Able to perform analysis using MS Excel
  • Create and manage customer diagrams using Visio and MS PowerPoint

  • Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen and able to pass a Public Trust Assessment

Place of Performance:  

  • Base Shift hours: 8:00 AM ET – 5:00 PM ET, M-F (flexibility is required)
  • Must be available for on-call support as required
  • Work location: Bowie Computer Center – Bowie, MD
  • Limited/Occasional telework may be available
