RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide detailed input to asset validation panels in an effort to determine current and future viability of sources. 
  • If called upon, represent defense HUMINT in agency, defense and national forums, and produce and give briefings as necessary.
  • Provide identification of all related intelligence requirements for your assigned specialized effort.
  • Provide a technical collection strategy and targeting analysis studies to support senior-level stakeholders and policy makers within the intelligence community (IC).
  • Conduct liaison with national level intelligence organizations as appropriate to effectively develop, coordinate and de-conflict operations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • At least Three (3) Years of National-Level HUMINT Targeting experience to include Strategic HUMINT targeting in direct support of operational HUMINT Collectors
  • A Bachelor Degree in Intelligence, Criminal Justice, Political Science, World/Regional History, or other history/political/intelligence or law enforcement major – Highly Desired
  • Senior Staff NCO (E-6 and above), Warrant Officer (CWO-2 and above), Field Grade Officer (O-4 and above) and GS/GG-13 and above - Highly Desired
  • School Trained in HUMINT Targeting – Highly Desired
  • Have the technical skills, knowledge, and experience to accomplish the work in the Targeting Officer Tasks list above with minimal oversight.
  • Possess analytic contacts throughout the IC and a high level of subject matter expertise for their assigned area of responsibility or target set.
  • Have experience in tagging data and building networks using Palantir, or similar software. 
  • Must have the ability to create network diagrams using Palantir, Analyst Notebook, or other similar tools, and have experience with Geo Metadata Analysis and Pattern of Life development using ArcGIS, Google Earth, Palantir, or other appropriate tools.
  • Possess the ability to: 1) Effectively communicate verbally and in writing in English, 2) Clearly and concisely express multifaceted concepts, and 3) Develop ideas in a logical sequence leading to a validated conclusion.
  • Have working knowledge and experience with the basic personal computer, Windows Operating System, and Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Must be willing to travel within the National Capital Region (NCR) with the potential of worldwide travel 
  • Must be able to work 8 hour days; however, you may be subject to work longer hours and weekends to support no-notice or priority mission requirements

Minimum physical demands for on task positions: Employee needs to be able to sit at a workstation for extended periods; use hand(s) to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Most positions require ability to work on desktop or laptop computer for extended periods of time reading, reviewing/analyzing information, and providing recommendations, summaries and/or reports in written format. Must be able to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing. Employee may be required to occasionally lift and/or move moderate amounts of weight, typically less than 20 pounds. Regular and predictable attendance is essential.
Team Members on Task (CONUS only, minimal or no job-related travel):
• Work Environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
• Office Type Environment with Temperature Control. May be exposed to chemicals related to office equipment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. General office environment.
Team Members on task (CONUS and OCONUS assignments, some travel):
• Specific vision abilities required by the job may include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
• Team Members deployed to a combat zone must be physically able to live in austere conditions during off duty time that may include extremes in temperature, noise, and must not have any medical conditions that require access to uninterrupted power sources.
• Team Members deployed to a combat zone will be subject to hazardous conditions which may require them to wear a kevlar helmet, individual body armor and/or wear a gas mask for extended periods of time.
