We have a great career advancing opportunity in our growing Raleigh, NC office. We’re looking for a hydraulics / water resource engineer to support the development of Transportation Projects.   Responsibilities will include the design and analysis of open and closed storm drainage systems for linear transportation projects, hydraulic culvert/bridge design and permitting.  The desired candidate can also develop erosion and sediment pollution control design plans, as well as abilities to supplement design efforts of the overall civil/highway group.    

What You Will Need:

  • Proficient knowledge of basic roadway hydrologic and hydraulics principals

  • Must have five plus years of technical design of transportation projects (Preferably NCDOT – but not required).

  • B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline required.

  • Currently have PE

  • Proficient in MS Office and MicroStation

  • Experience with GEOPAK drainage, HEC-RAS, etc.

  • Experience developing deliverables per NCDOT standards and requirements (including BSR/CSR). Ability to work and collaborate in a team environment on challenging project

Additional Desired Experience:

  • Experience in erosion and sediment pollution control design

  • Experience in roadway design

  • Experience in utility design.
